Alloy Metal Mesh
Inconel 600 wire mesh (Alloy 600) is a nickel-chromium alloy, with added iron (~8%), designed for applications requiring resistance to both corrosion and extreme temperatures. As such, Inconel 600 can be used in environments with temperatures ranging from cryogenic to 2050°F. Its high nickel (~76%) content gives Alloy 600 wire cloth excellent resistance to alkaline solutions, reducing conditions, chloride stress-corrosion cracking, and a wide array of inorganic and organic compounds. Its high chromium (~15.5%) content gives Inconel 600 wire mesh good resistance to various alkaline salt solutions, caustic environments, oxidizing environments, and sulfur compounds. When compared to pure Nickel 200 and Nickel 201, the chromium content of Alloy 600 wire mesh gives it superior resistance in oxidizing settings.

Some characteristics of Inconel 600 wire cloth which dictate its use are:
Inconel 600 wire cloth is principally used in high-temperature environments that also present corrosive, oxidizing, and/or reducing agents. As such, Alloy 600 is widely used in heat-treating equipment, muffle furnaces, and nuclear steam generator equipment. Additional industries and applications which commonly use Alloy 600 wire cloth include:
